Current Challenges
Ammonia is a persistent issue in poultry farming, causing equipment damage and environmental harm. It becomes a harmful gas above pH 7.2 and turns into ammonium below this level. Managing pH is challenging and often requires costly, corrosive chemicals and high-energy ventilation, which are not eco-friendly solutions.
Mode Of Action
Litter Gobbler reduces ammonia in poultry litter using a unique biological approach:
- Biological Conversion – Special microbes convert ammonia into ammonium nitrate fertilizer.
- Carbon Boost – It adds lignin (carbon), which helps balance nitrogen and prevents excess ammonia release.
- Chelation – Uses organic acids to bind and neutralize ammonia, reducing harmful gas levels.

Health Challenge Summary:
Pathogens in poultry environments are dangerous, costly to control, and develop resistance to harsh chemicals, disinfectants, and antibiotics, creating a cycle of increasing expense and reduced effectiveness.
Ecozyme Solution:
Ecozyme bio-enzymes are natural, non-GMO probiotics that rapidly outcompete harmful pathogens by consuming their food and occupying their space. These good bacteria multiply exponentially, offering long-lasting protection even after application, unlike conventional disinfectants.
Proven Results:
Independent tests in 20,000-bird poultry houses showed complete elimination of Salmonella, E. coli O157, and other harmful microbes, while beneficial Litter Gobbler bacteria remained consistently present.
Non-Corrosive
Corrosion in poultry operations—especially from ammonia—is a major issue that damages metal, plastic, wood, and concrete, reducing equipment lifespan and profits. Ammonia forms naturally from manure, moisture, and microbes, and worsens with high humidity. While acids are commonly used to neutralize ammonia, they are costly, dangerous, and can increase corrosion and groundwater contamination.
Litter Gobbler offers a safe, organic, and non-corrosive solution that biologically manages ammonia without harsh chemicals. It protects equipment, improves bird welfare, and enhances overall return on investment.
Long-Term Ammonia Control
Traditional acid-based ammonia control in poultry houses only traps ammonium temporarily—manure eventually raises pH, causing ammonia gas to return. Litter Gobbler uses Ecozyme’s beneficial bacteria to permanently break down ammonium by converting it into stable ammonium nitrate fertilizer. This natural, biological process prevents ammonia gas formation. With continued use, Litter Gobbler significantly lowers ammonia levels and nearly eliminates the problem over time.
Easy Liquid Application
Litter Gobbler is a concentrated liquid poultry litter treatment that’s easy to apply with a pressure sprayer, requiring no PPE. It's more efficient and less labor-intensive than dry bulk treatments.
Application Steps:
1. Seal the house after flock removal to retain warmth (improves microbe effectiveness).
2. Ventilate if condensation occurs or before re-entry.
3. De-cake the litter, then apply Litter Gobbler at 1L per 400m², diluted in 100L of water.
4. Wait 30 minutes after dilution before spraying.
5. Use only clean sprayers free from disinfectants.
6. Seal the house again for 24 hours, then follow standard ventilation before adding birds.
